4 Top European Destinations
1. London, United Kingdom
Is a trip to England complete without visiting the capital? There’s so much to do in London that you couldn’t fit into just one weekend. If you consider yourself a shopaholic, then London is your dream destination, as it is one of the world’s big four fashion capitals.
Buckingham Palace is a majestic sight, and the view from the top of Big Ben will take your breath away. Even a trip on the London underground is a memorable experience, so take it all in as you navigate the city at speeds up to 60mph.

2. Amsterdam, Netherlands
Many flock to the city built on the water for its scenic views and riveting culture. Amsterdam is the perfect destination for a European city break, which is ideal for Britons as city breaks are the nation’s favorite type of holiday.
Creative people will love the art scene in Amsterdam and can easily spend hours admiring the paintings at the Van Gogh Museum.
For a more sobering experience, why not visit the Anne Frank Museum? The building serves as a real-life reminder of the horrors of World War II as you explore the annex that Anne Frank and her family hid in for more than two years.
There are a series of unique but great things to do in Amsterdam.
3. Zürich, Switzerland
For a more luxurious escape, be sure to visit Zürich.
The Niederdorf region is a tourist hotspot in Zürich, filled with many fantastic restaurants and independent shops.
After you’ve eaten and browsed the stalls, you should go on a boat ride; touring the city on the water is an entirely different experience, and you’ll also be able to see all of Zurich’s iconic landmarks in half the time.
However, if you plan to visit Switzerland (especially for winter sports), ensure you have the correct travel insurance, as a hospital stay could set you back around £6,127 a day.
4. Lanzarote, Spain
This Spanish destination is ideal for families and is packed with many fun activities that the kids will love.
Lanzarote is renowned for its beautiful, sandy beaches. Parents can relax with a cool drink while the kids splash around in the ocean. If you’re hoping for a more adrenaline-filled Spanish adventure, try your hand at diving and exploring the underwater marine life.
Lanzarote is also a place of natural beauty, and you could easily spend the day exploring Timanfaya National Park. You can hike it on foot or hire bikes to explore this vast region.
